Emerald & Diamond Earrings
Emeralds have undoubtedly been highly valued for thousands of years. Some of the best examples were thought to have come from India, however it is now believed that they were traded by the Spanish who had opened up mines in South America in the sixteenth century. Emerald is a silicate of beryllium and owes its colour to small traces of chromium, the same element that gives rise of the fine red of Burmese rubies.
These beautiful emerald and diamond studs each have a natural emerald weighing approximately 0.55cts each and are micro claw set with round brilliant cut diamonds. Secured to your lobe with 18ct white gold post and butterfly fittings.
